Redeeming Healthcare Together: Florence

Updated: Sep 12

When Florence Yamoah began serving with Watermark Health she was hoping to grow in sharing her faith in a medical setting as she plans to become a physician. She's since joined our Early Prenatal Care team as a volunteer, serving women in sometimes difficult situations and has witnessed firsthand the impact of serving others in Jesus' name.

Recently, Florence shared what she's seen God doing at Watermark Health during her time serving and why she's passionate about giving her time to the ministry.

This ministry is trying to meet you where you're at. Which is what Jesus does with us....you're not going to come here and be forgotten when you walk out the door. You will be remembered, and reached out to."

Florence was born into a family of first generation immigrants to the United States from Ghana. As a young child, she actually grew up in the area near the Skillman Clinic.

What Watermark Health is doing; the access to free healthcare, the access to ministry, is something that when I was living here, when my parents were living here, we didn't have."

Florence is now a part of bringing redeemed healthcare to the very community she spent some of her childhood in.

"Every patient that we see, I can just really tell that they're rebuilding their trust in healthcare...I'd want people who give to Watermark Health to know that your giving is a real blessing...it's really making a big impact."

Are you interested in serving and impacting our community for good like Florence?
