let's take this on
The last six years, our two clinics have conducted over 40,000 patient visits, saving the residents of DFW over $10.7 Million in healthcare costs last year alone. We have seen God write beautiful stories as His church served the city.
As we survey our city and the ongoing needs around us, we know that there continue to be areas in DFW that have limited access to healthcare and are either relying on the ambulance system to provide transportation to Emergency Rooms or not seeking healthcare when they need it. We know this to be true because patients have traveled from all over DFW to get to one of our clinics this year.
What about the men, women, and children in these areas that don't have access to transportation to drive those miles?
We want to bring the mission to them. And we need your help.
As soon as God opens up the resources to make it possible, we believe our next strategic step to serve our city is to add a mobile clinic to our mix. To continue increasing the accessibility of our services we will build a clinic on wheels that will bring the same excellent care we've provided these last 6 years to those in the DFW area who lack the ability to get to our clinics. This mobile clinic will have patient rooms, a waiting area and will look similar to a sleek and modern tiny home. This new innovative model for a mobile unit will allow more flexibility in operations and allows for creativity and excellence in design. Through North Texas Giving Day, our donors generously provided over $240,000 to help build and run the mobile unit. This amount should cover the buildout of the unit as well as any needs for the truck to pull it. Shortly thereafter, a generous donor made up the difference to ensure we can operate the unit for a full year. You can continue to donate to our general operating costs by giving through paypal or writing a check. We'd also appreciate your prayers as our construction team begins the process of building the unit and we recruit the right staff to make it possible.
The same body of Christ that you've met at our two existing clinics these last 6 years.
You tell us. We believe God will move His people to open up the finances needed to execute on this strategy in His timing.
We believe that every single person that walks through our clinic doors has innate dignity, value, and worth because they were made in God's image and Jesus died on the cross for them.
We also believe this to be true for every single person that is unable to walk through our clinic doors. Transportation is a serious prohibitor to accessible healthcare for many areas throughout DFW. A mobile unit would allow us to strategically partner throughout the city with other ministries, churches, and areas of need to ensure accessible healthcare. A mobile unit would also allow us to provide services targeted for the specific needs of an area, even considering other service lines and specialtiy clinics run through the facility.
In other words...why do we want to do this?
...so that the multitudes may be healed.
